week 48

Hello Everyone!

It feels like it's been ages since we last spoke one to another, haha (a Couple of days). During the time that we last spoke not too much has happened here in the land down under. The big thing is that Me and Elder Williams have been working on making district t-shirts, which are pretty cool as of yet, hopefully they'll come out as cool as the designs. Then we're going to make companion t-shirts which will be pretty cool. Then just today we went out to Kings park, A large park in the middle of the city, where we watched the sunrise come over the city. It was pretty cool, and i was able to get a number of pictures, but alas i left my camera back at our flat, so i'll have to send them to you next week. Sorry about that. We went there with the assistants Who were companions in my fist district. It was awesome to hang out with them once more. Later on today we'll be doing a scavenger That me and Elder Williams set up. Hopefully it'll turn out well.

Not much else to report on. Hope you all have a wonderful week this week, and try to enjoy the simple things in life, and grow as much as you can. We have a life for of knowledge before, lets strive to earn as much as we can as we go along. Lets do a challenge. This week try and something new from someone you don't know too well. I could be from anyone, just make it meaning full.

Love,
Elder Boren

week 47

Hello everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful day, or a wonderful nights sleep, whatever may be the case i hope you're enjoying it. This week has been a great week, though i am reporting about two weeks right now. Sorry about not being there when i normally am, again, this week was our temple week, and so today we went to the temple. It was a wonderful experience, and we were able to act as witnesses as families were sealed together for all time and eternity. It was a wonderful experience.

Of the announcements that happened during this week, there are two major ones. The first is that we have a new mission president! president Fife just like weekend left us to return home back to salt lake, Utah, and our new mission president arrived just before he left. He and his wife are the benallicks. They're from Australia, but perth is the only Australian state they have not been too, until now. President benallick was serving as head of IT in the pacific area, which leads into the next big thing.

Our mission will be receiving Smart phone on July 26. Which is really big news, it's also cool because it'll be on my 1 year anniversary of serving the lord. We were informed about this change during our meet the mission president not too long ago.IT was pretty awesome, and pretty big news for us missionaries on the field. We're pretty excited for them and ready to see what we can do to hasten the work with the smart phones

For all those who are wondering, my companion is doing much better these past few days. He is still on a slow progress of recovery, but it is happening. So hopefully we'll be completely ready for when things begin to change here.

Hope you are all having a wonderful week! Will hear from you soon

Love,
Elder Boren

week 46

Hello everyone,

Sorry i wasn't around when you were expecting me the whole morning we were fix on going from appointment to appointment not have time or availability until now. The morning was booked due to the fact that elder Williams has injured his back recently. We went and saw a doctor over it in the morning, then set up a MRI scan for him later in the evening, and also went and got a blood test. so we did a lot of driving around going from place to place, but we don't have any information as of yet. Hopefully after the MRI we can get some information on whats going on right now.

The rest of the week was pretty good. We were able to go into the temple with our recent converts from Geraldton, who drove 6 hours down here to do it. We were able to surprise them when they arrived, as they didn't know that we were coming, or that we were companions. It was a wonderful experience, and i'm glad i could be apart of the experience. The Austins (the recent converts) were able to bring some of their family names into the temple.

After that we were able to have several great chances to visit with a lot of the people that we've been working with throughout our time here together, and that I've been in Maylands. It was great to see them all, as a few we haven't been able to see since elder Williams arrived. I was able to celebrate my birthday here in Maylands and my first one while on a mission while on the Perth Australia mission. It was a wonderful experience. I'm just glad that i can say i'm 20 now, though there hasn't been much of a difference. Soon after elder williams back began to spike up, which caused us to slow down, to a stop. With that we spent most of the weekend in the flat only coming out every so often. But all in all it was a good week, and hopefully this week to come will be even better.

Thank you for reading along!

Love,
Elder Boren

week 45

Hello everyone!

This week has been another good week to place in the books. During this week we had zone conference which was the last one with president Fife. It was quite amazing. An experience to remember. He spent a lot of time focusing on when we go back as he wont be able to council us when were heading home.  Some things i took from it was "The destination wont get you there, the journey will" and "The Lord shaped the back to what it'll bear" or "The time makes the difference" and in regards to married life "Change yourself to be the right one" and "Cut out the tongue before you offend your loved one". Then near the end of the conference they had the testimonies of the missionaries leave at the end of the transfer, and one of them said something i really liked. it was elder Richens " If you have no one to look up to, look down, and learn from everyone" Overall it was a great experience.

As could of noticed i had a really good p-day in that i mean It was quite exciting. The injury i received as that was my leg, was from dodge-ball. I was sliding all over the place which was good fun and helped my team out, but caused these injuries to my leg. As of right now i am healing quite well and on the road to recovery. Soon i shall be ready for round two if coach allows me to go in. All in all it was a good p-day.

This week will be an exciting week as we'll be able to rebuild ourselves and add things to Who we are as individuals. We're pretty excited for the week (A reason for that is that it'll be my birthday here soon). I hope you are as well. It is a short email this week, but as time goes on all these emails put together will make a long story.

Enjoy yourselves and have fun!

Love,
Elder Boren

week 44

Greetings readers.

For the past personal days, i have beginning the emails i send to you all with a large list including an assortment of people in the greetings. Today i will be not continuing the tradition. From this point forward the introductions for my emails shall be basic and routine. No longer a mess of titles, names, species, and groups. You are all people of whom i interact with, and with all hope i would consider you as readers. With that in mind we shall proceed with the account of the week.

This week has been an exciting week, the main highlight of the week would the arrival of my new companion into my area. He is elder Williams. He has been on his mission for 16 months now. Of that time this is the first time for him to be in the city. He is one of 14, being number 12. He is from  Hamilton New Zealand. A small city call temple view. He's a great guy and one of his passions is music, and has a trained voice to show it.

The majority of this week has been me showing my companion around and introducing him to the people we go and visit. He thought it was quite interesting, a lot of the people we visit and met with have interesting stories and are going through a lot of stuff. All of which are unique to each person. The week went by pretty fast, as it was mainly me trying to figure out where we are and going, and elder Williams introducing himself. It was an interesting week to say the least.

This week coming will be a fun one as well. Fun as there a lot of things going on this week. One of which will be President fife's last zone conference. It will be a sad thing to see him go, but it can be said that he has left a mark on me and all of the missionaries that have served with him. It'll be hard to top him, but the lord has someone in store to teach us something new.

I hope you all have a wonderful week this week. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Enjoy yourselves and have fun!

week 43

Hello ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, Mothers, Fathers, Strangers, Friends, Family, Politicians, Voters, Democrats, Republicans, Americans, Texans, Other Americans, Non-americans, Canadians, Englishmen, Pokémon Trainers, Pokémon Masters, Gym Masters, Dungeon Masters, Nerds, Geeks, Those in-between, Hippies, Hippos, Dinosaurs,  Fishs, Fish's out of water, Turtles, Sea Turtles, Ninja Turtles, Jocks, Golfers, Drum majors, Pure Breeds, Mutts, Cross breeds, half-breeds, No-breeds?, Aliens, krogens, Cyborgs, Superheros, Jedi's, Siths, Ewoks, gunguns, Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, Wizards, Dragons, Hobbits, Baggins, Nazgul, Dark Lords, Beyonders, Clerics, Warriors, Bowmen, Monks, Tongans, Samoans, Fijians, Philippians, Hawaiians, Elders, Sisters, District leaders, Zone leaders, Assistants to the president, El Jefe, Return missionaries, Golden missionaries, dying missionaries, veteran missionaries and so Forth. (muggles not included).
A lot has happened this week. For starters we had an excellent elders p-day. We played some good old chair soccer, ping pong, and basketball. I found chair soccer to be the most fun, but that's just me. Then we went about our week, which was full of stuff happening. to begin, elder Hansen is leaving me, he is now rising up to a higher degree. A higher plan of existence. He has become a zone leader! He will now be looking over the zone with elder Stephens the Scottish elder. We were all very surprised when we found out he was leading our zone. We were all expecting him to go off to another zone all together, but that wasn't what the lord had in mind.  WE found out about it while having a meal with a struggling member. We were treated to bbq, which wasn't too bad. It was the best bbq they've had to offer so far.

Then from Tuesday on it was a mess of stuff happening. The next day elder Hansen said goodbye to all those he had worked with while in the area. Then on thursday i was with the West leederville elders while i was waiting for my temporary companion. I'm getting a temp! he'll be with me until Wednesday, when i'll get my new companion Elder Williams. I've been with elder Ganbat from Mongolia. He'll be heading home here shortly and will be with me until he his transferred out to his new area. He's been good, and a lot of fun. I wish him all the best as he moves on to the next chapter of life.

This week has been one of a lot of change, but all of it is in the lord's hands he knows the way and whats best in these situations. Just need to put trust in him.

Love,
Elder Boren

week 42

Hello ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, Mothers, Fathers, Strangers, Friends, Family, Politicians, Voters, Democrats, Republicans, Americans, Texans, Other Americans, Non-americans, Canadians, Englishmen, Pokémon Trainers, Pokémon Masters, Gym Masters, Dungeon Masters, Nerds, Geeks, Those in-between, Hippies, Hippos, Dinosaurs,  Fishs, Fish's out of water, Turtles, Sea Turtles, Ninja Turtles, Jocks, Golfers, Drum majors, Pure Breeds, Mutts, Cross breeds, half-breeds, No-breeds?, Aliens, krogens, Cyborgs, Superheros, Jedi's, Siths, Ewoks, gunguns, Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, Wizards, Dragons, Hobbits, Baggins, Nazgul, Dark Lords, Beyonders, Clerics, Warriors, Bowmen, Monks, Tongans, Samoans, Fijians, Philippians, Hawaiians, Elders, Sisters, District leaders, Zone leaders, Assistants to the president, El Jefe, Return missionaries, Golden missionaries, dying missionaries, veteran missionaries and so Forth. (muggles not included).

This Week was a good one, one to put in the journal, which i am doing. It started out with our p-day, which was district p-day. We had a great time. We played some chair soccer which is always fun. I'll teach all the youth how to play when i return. Then after the chair soccer we played some games. Everyone else played Jackpot which they enjoyed, while me and a few others played the bang that i have. We all had a lot of fun. One of the sisters took my camera and started taking a bunch of pictures, which was good since i was busy playing my game.

The next day was Tuesday which is district meeting, that went quite well. We had it at another chapel then normal because it was a combined district meeting. We were able to learn a few things out of it and things to imply in our areas. Then we had Wednesday which is always good, because its steak night for us, so it's always a delight. then we had exchanges with some of the other elders in the district, which went quite well. We all had a good time learning from each other, as we all have something to learn and something to teach.

Then we had Saturday, which was great. We met with one of our less actives that is home bound, so can't come to church. He doing really well and is hanging in. He's a big nerd so we get along well enough. He even plays D&d with some of the members, maybe when i return i can play a session with him. Then we had Sunday which is always swell. This Sunday we had a linger longer, which means food after church and food after church is much appreciated. Then today we went out to the pier off swan river and took some photos of the black swans of Perth which was pretty awesome. Soon we'll be having elders p-day which is always great.

All in all this week has been a good week, and i hope next week is all the better, for me and you.

Love,
 Elder Boren

Moving from Maylands to Dianella week 65

Gooood Morning Everyone! (Or Evening) This week has come to a sad conclusion. For 7 and a half months I have served here in the maylands...
