Hope you've all had a good week. I myself have had a good one but it has been a long one. The main reason for that is that p-day wasn't on Monday as it normally is, instead it's today. I forgot to give you notice about it. So sorry on my part. The change is because we have scheduled to go to the temple today and in order not to waste time we alter our p-day to the day we go. We have the opportunity to go to the temple every 6 week or once a transfer. So today will be a good day.
The book of Mormon is a big focus for our mission and the zone right now. Our zone has made it a goal to had out 300 copies of the book of Mormon in 30 days. The challenge started the 10th, with today being the 15th. Already in the amount of time our last total, recorded on the 12th, had us at 35 as a zone so far. So far as a companionship we have passed out 7 copies of the book of Mormon since that time. It is wonderful to see how things are being prepared even in this part of the world. Through this challenge we've been able to see an increase of the key indicators, weekly statistics. We also know that once the book of Mormon is in their hands and in the home the spirit will be able to work through that.
happened this week just a good amount of solid work being done. Just the other day we had our district council and it went really well. We did a role play with the zone leaders, and they loved the way we presented the book of Mormon which was the focus of the role play. Then we went over accounts of people in the scriptures being bold in action or teaching. It was awesome to see the many different examples of it shared by some of the missionaries.
This week was a good week full of energy and pressing forward. I also had an exchange with elder Hansen for a couple of days. During which we experienced a number of tender mercies. One of which was this man from Macedonia who let us in on sight of us. We then talked to him for about to hours, or as he would say we spent time exchanging breath. He was an interesting person with a lot of ideas and knowledge. I'm excited to see him again, and I'll be practicing my 120s.
Also during the exchange we went over to a struggling family in their ward. They haven't had missionaries over in a long time, and they offered the zone leaders to come over for dinner. Happy I went in elder Stephen stead. There I had the most American dinner on the mission. That night we were served brisket, that he slow cooked himself, with some wonderful bbq sauce. Then they had some amazing potato bake witch was perfect, but to top it all off. They had some A&W Root beer and cream soda. You dont know how much you love tell its gone. Then we just had a great time talking to the family, it was wonderful, and it really seemed to raise their spirits.
All in all it was a great week with a lot of excellent moments throughout the entire week. The best part of the mission is truly the people we meet along the way. I hope you all have a wonderful week and finish it well.
Love,
Elder Boren
