week 58

Hello everyone. Sorry about the lack of communication but yesterday wasn't our p-day due to it being a public holiday. It's the queens birthday (or at least when they celebrate it here) and so they have these things going on. One of which is this big show that they have, which is like a festival or carnival. Got a quick glance at it today, but don't really know too much else.

This weekend we had stake conference, and for it they had Elder Natress of the General authority 70 and second councillor to the Pacific area. It was a really good conference. The talks throughout it all were quite good. Elder Natress was a highlight of it, he spoke really well. It was also awesome to see one of the recent converts of the ward sustained as an elder. It's been awesome to see the growth in his life and all the changes he made.

This week was also pretty good over all. On Saturday we worked at salvos as we normally try to. I always love doing It, it's always a favorite time of the week. We also had exchanges with the zone leaders. I was with elder Gunter who is pretty awesome. We had a lot of fun together and were able to find someone with a lot of potential, hopefully it'll lead somewhere. We were also able to do some service over at a members home, who we didn't even know was there. They had us dig some dirt and put it in a bin. We finished it pretty quick, and so they took us out for lunch at Dominos. They gave us a bunch of left over that they've made as well. So it was pretty awesome. Then I made Chop Suey the other day which is a Samoan Dish. It was quite good, still need to Master it, but I got time to do that.

One of the weird things that I thought of today and for a few day was that tomorrow will be my 14 months mark, which is so weird. It feels like I was just celebrating my 1 year mark just a few days back, but nope it was 2 months ago. Time really does fly on the mission. So much going on throughout the days sometimes you just get caught in the blur of it all. I'm glad I made the choice to come out here, and that I still have some time left.

Love you All!

Love,
Elder Boren

P.S. The Unicorns are my friends now!
