This week has been an interesting week, well for the most part it has been. A few little events here and there that make it as interesting as it is.

First we had a uneventful p-day last week, not much of anything happened then Just emailing and such and saying hello to some people. Tuesday We had a combined district meeting which was great, being able to see other missionaries helps out. We're so isolated up here. Then after that we needed to do a survey for the church over the mission, so we had to come down into town to do that. Wednesday was pretty casual, not much happened then, same with Thursday. Then on Friday we went to visit a recent convert and his son (Not baptized) and celebrated the son 45 birthday a bit earlier then it really is. The only reason for this was because Elder mauigoa was Leaving just before his true birthday, so we decided to do it early. Not too much happened then, just had some pizza drinks and cake.

Then on Saturday we had our first 40c degree  weather up here (About 100F) it wasn't too bad, the wind here helped out with the dry heat. We also did a service that day, mowing some lawns. We'll be doing some more of that this week. Then on Sunday after a lovely church meeting with the branch we went and visited some people we were working with to our surprise one of our investigators had a friend over who seemed to be staying. After talking he told us that he was associated with the Chinese mafia, and now is working for the cartel in Geraldton. Which was quite lovely to find out. Then it started to rain and the friend said he wouldn't allow us to leave in the rain, and said we should stay for the time being. We stayed and had a wonderful talk with him, he's a good man, in the wrong place, but it'll take him time to work his way out of it, but he has hope of that day. Just needs to find a girl as he says.

That was my exciting week, which wasn't too exciting after all, just a taste of the out of the ordinary. Excited to progress onward towards a new week and new opportunities. Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Love,
Elder Boren
